The Secret to Attracting Your Ideal Client
Through your content đ§˛
Hey there,
By this point, youâve likely already heard the exciting newsâŚ
Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring for us here in North America (woohoo!).
And if you have no idea what Iâm talking about? Yesterday was Groundhogâs Day over here.
Oh, whatâs that? You donât have a really weird holiday where a groundhog comes out and predicts if spring will arrive early or if there will be another six weeks of winter?
Youâre missing out đ¤ˇđźââď¸ (jk, I didnât even know it was Groundhogâs Day until the other day and I have no idea how it works or why itâs even a thing). But yay to spring arriving early, am I right?
Annnyyywayyysss⌠welcome back to another edition of the Digital Brand Builders newsletter, a newsletter teaching you one actionable lesson you can use each week to build, grow, and monetize your personal brand.
I want to teach from my own experience, so Iâll be sharing everything Iâve learned about starting and growing my personal brand and online business over the past several months in the hopes that it helps you do the same.
And by the end of every edition, Iâll leave you with a few action steps you can take to get one step closer to building your own digital brand this upcoming week.
Sound like a plan?
Alrighty, letâs dive right into this one!
Hereâs what weâll be covering this week:
The secret to creating content that attracts your ideal audience.
This Weekâs Blueprint đş
Whether you love it or hate it, creating content is a must if youâre building a personal brand or any sort of online business.
But one thing I hear people say all the time is it can be incredibly challenging to come up with ideas for content.
And not only that, but come up with ideas your audience actually likes.
So today Iâll be sharing a simple (but practical) secret you can use to never run out of ideas and create content that attracts your ideal audience to you.
Cool?
Cool cool. Letâs get to it!

Step 1 | Identify Your Ideal Audience đľđźââď¸
Now, before you start creating any type of content or create an offer for your business, you need to actually figure out the type of person you want to target.
Because if you write to everyone, you end up writing to no one.
So before you sit down to create content, ask yourself a question:
âIf I could work with anyone in the world, who would it be? In other words, whoâs my dream client?â
This simple question will give you a much better idea of who your audience is, what they do, and what their goals and pains are.
An easy way to put it all together and get it in writing is to create a basic table with all your offers and who would actually want them.
I recently did this, and hereâs what mine looks like:
I have two main offers that I promote at the moment, and both audiences are a bit different.
So I wrote out the types of people Iâm targeting for each and what their main goal is (remember to be specific!).
Step 2 | Ask Your Audience Questions â
Once youâve identified exactly who youâre trying to target with your content, the next step is to ask them questions.
Now, one great way to do this is to poll your audience on social media or ask them directly in emails, DMâs, or content.
But another easy way to do that is just to list out all the questions your ideal client would have about your offer.
Start with the basics of who, what, when, why, how and list all the questions they have for each.
Hereâs an example of what that looks like for me:
While this list doesnât cover everything, notice how I asked several questions about how, why, what, etc.?
Really get in the mind of your ideal client/customer here.
If you were your audience, what are the main things they would want to know or the main questions they would have?
Then write those out in your table like I did above.
Step 3 | Create Content That Answers Their Questions đ
Remember all those questions you just wrote down?
Well, the easiest way to attract your ideal customer to your content and actually get them to like what you have to say is simply to talk directly to them.
They have questions. You have answers.
Now all thatâs left to do is solve their problems and answer their questions in your content.
Choose one of the questions you just wrote down and answer it in a fun, valuable, and educational way.
Just look at the question above: âWhat type of content should I write about?â
This newsletter is an example of solving that problem and answering that question.
I just gave you a step-by-step blueprint you can use to figure out what type of content you should write about if you want to attract your ideal customer.
You see? Itâs pretty simple to beat writerâs block and attract your ideal audience to your content once you understand what they want to read.
