I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

The best brands don’t sell the best products. They sell the best ideas.

“But Connor, what’s the best way to sell the best ideas? How do I actually get people to buy into the ideas I’m trying to promote to the world?”

I’m glad you asked, my friend:

By creating a community so valuable that your audience practically begs to buy your products or services.

A community so valuable that they can’t envision their life without it.

A community so valuable that you don’t even need to ask your members to buy anything from you, they just… do.

Are you starting to see just how important having an engaged community is?

I sure hope so.

So without further ado, here are 3 ways you can start building a killer community around your brand and use it to sell anything on autopilot ↓

1. Write a Weekly Newsletter 📧

Look, there are few things (if anything) more valuable than building an email list for your brand.

Why?

• You own your list
• It has the highest ROI of any marketing
• Your subscribers have already shown interest in you

Need I go on? There are plenty more.

And in my humble opinion, starting a newsletter is the single best way to build a brand from square one.

Yeah… I said it.

Because the more you write, the more content you have to promote. The more content you have to promote, the more you’ll grow your newsletter. And the more you’ll grow your newsletter, the more potential customers you’ll reach every time you hit “send.”

Let’s take a client of mine for example:

I helped them make $17,339 in the past 90 days just from sending our weekly newsletter.

And the best part is, we barely sell anything in these emails. They’re strictly value-based and educational.

Now that’s the power of a newsletter in action.

Our readers look forward to hearing from us every week and get excited to see what we’ve got in store for them each Friday.

An educational newsletter like this helps build trust and relationships far beyond just the brand.

It makes readers feel part of something… special.

And if your audience feels special? They’re much more likely to become raving customers.

2. Build a Community-Focused Platform 📲

Listen, your audience doesn’t just want to hear from you and build a relationship with you.

They also want to connect with other like-minded members just like them.

And while a newsletter is great for starting one-way conversations and getting to know your audience on a much deeper level…

It doesn’t have that same tight-knit aspect that other community-focused platforms have.

  • Discord

  • Telegram

  • Facebook

What do all these platforms have in common?

They all give you the chance to form a community on a much deeper level while giving your audience the ability to connect with others.

You can use one of these platforms as an extension of your newsletter to provide even more valuable content.

Engage with your community, ask questions, give your members the chance to connect with one another.

And if you do?

You’ll be well on your way to creating a community your audience will never forget.

3. Create a Referral System 🗣

Alright, by this point you’ve started to create loads of content and form relationships with your readers thanks to your weekly newsletter.

You’ve built a community where your members can engage and connect with one another.

Now for the last piece of the puzzle:

Growing your community.

Truth is, if you want to build one of the best communities on the internet and turn members into lifelong customers, you’ll want a way to attract other members to continue growing into something huge.

And lucky for you, a referral system is just the thing you’re looking for.

The jewelry brand Pura Vida is a fantastic example of such a referral system (you can read more about that here).

But what do they do so well that you should replicate for your own community?

They create a positive feedback loop and incentivize their customers to refer as many people as they can.

When it comes to your own community, maybe you could have a tiered-structure where the more people you refer, the more rewards you get.

Or maybe you could share free resources or incentives for anyone who invites a certain number of people to your community.

Whatever it is, try to find a way to leverage your customers and get them to market your community for you.

Build something incredible once → Have your members do all the marketing for you.

That’s the power of a great referral system.
