Don't Be Afraid to Pivot
Elon did it, so can you
Twitter ā X
Facebook ā Meta
Better Stories Newsletter ā ???
Look, some of the biggest companies in the world have rebranded over the years and completely reinvented themselves (for better or for worse).
Just look at what Elon has done with Twitter in the past few months.
Some people love it and will embrace the changes. Some people hate it and will never touch the app again.
And no matter which side youāre on, it just goes to show how powerful rebranding yourself can be.
As a small brand or creator, you have the luxury of pivoting several times whenever you feel like switching things up.
And the best part? Few people will care or even notice. After all, itās a lot easier to do when youāre smaller.
But hey, some of the biggest tech companies in the world did it too.
Because they knew it was time for a change.
So no matter if you have billions of users like Facebook does or only a few hundred followers to your name, one thingās for sure:
You should never be afraid to reinvent yourself when you feel like itās time for a change.
And for me and this newsletterā¦ that time is now.
Hereās why Iām rebranding and what you can expect moving forward:
Why Iām Rebranding This Newsletter š„ø
When I first started this newsletter last year, I wanted to focus on storytelling.
Teaching you lessons on how to tell better stories, how you can use stories in your marketing, the best storytelling examples you can learn fromā¦
Blah, blah, blah.
But honestly, itās just time for a change.
Donāt worry, Iāll still be telling stories in these emails. I just wonāt be telling you how to tell stories.
For a while, I thought I wanted to be known as the storyteller guy. Donāt get me wrong, I still love stories.
But thatās just not the audience I want to reach.
Because hereās the thing. For a while, I was trying to write to everyone. And everyone is far too big of an audience to write to.
(You know what they say, if you try to write for everyone you end up writing for no one.)
I quit my 9-5 job in June to go all in on my online business.
And since then, Iāve been focused on marketing, writing killer content, and building my personal brand.
Along the way, Iāve learned and grown a tonā¦ but Iāve also made a lot of mistakes.
And I want this newsletter to be a helpful resource for anyone in the same position I was a few months ago:
Building a brand
Wanting to gain freedom
Learning valuable skills along the way
And thatās who I truly want to reach with this newsletter.
So hereās what you can expect moving forward:
What You Can Expect Moving Forward š§
More actionable lessons from my own experiences in building a brand. More actionable lessons from my own experiences becoming my own boss. More actionable lessons you can use to grow your own brand.
And most importantlyā¦ more content around marketing and building a brand.
Because at the end of the day, thatās what I do. Thatās how I got to where I am today.
I learned a valuable skill, made a lot of mistakes along the way, and took a chance on myself that I could build something incredible.
And I want to pull back the curtain and show you how I got to where I am today.
No nonsense. No fluff. Just straight up actionable lessons and advice you can take to build your own brand or business from the ground up.
So who is this newsletter for?
Itās for anyone wanting to build their own personal brand, grow their business, or just learn a thing or two about some killer marketing lessons along the way.
Look, I donāt have all the answers and I never willā¦ so weāll be learning and growing together :)
Alright, thatās it for now. I know this was a bit of a different newsletter than usual but Iām excited to take things to the next level.
And if youāre wonderingā¦ no, I donāt have a name for the newsletter yet. So drop a reply to this email and let me know your thoughts on names and the overall rebrand.
I think the front runner right now is āThe Boy Brand Buildersā or something along those lines (I like alliteration, what can I say š¤·š¼āāļø)
Hope ya have a good weekend, and Iāll see yāall next week.
